Direct evaporative cooling units draw outdoor air through media saturated with water to lower its temperature. The process supplies cooled ventilation air while adding moisture, with cooling performance dependent on outdoor conditions.
Direct/Indirect Evaporative Cooling
These systems combine an indirect cooling stage with a downstream direct evaporative section to further reduce supply air temperature. The first stage cools air through a heat exchanger, while the second adds moisture.
